On
19 September 2011, Gérard Chambre attended
the sold out Charity Concert
'MADAGASCAR'
at the Theatre « Divan du Monde » in Paris. He premiered
with his brand new charming chanson
Les Jardins
de Lumière
accompanied by an adorable chorus, existing of nine
adorable children from different ages. Gérard had
especially written and composed that delightful
chanson for the Bienfaisance organisation
Les Jardins de Lumiere.
A few weeks later, October 14 - 15
Gérard Chambre travelled to
Ranohira Madagascar
- to witness and attend the opening of the first « Garden
of Lumière ». In these days of the fulfilling of
an impossible dream come true, festivities and
everlasting impressions, Gérard presented again his chanson
« Les Jardins de Lumière » now accompanied
by children from a
school class of
Ampefy.
On that
occassion, to the immense joy of the guests in
the « Garden of Lumière », his
contribution (on the piano his partner Thierry
Jan) were some of the unforgettable
chansons
of mythical Jacques Brel.
I have not been a witness at Ranohira in
the « Garden of Lumière » to listen to his
performance, but watching the video clips, one
of the volunteers so beautifully created later
on, I can only bow my head in front of Gérard
Chambre!
It is one thing to sing in a
dignified concert hall - and quite another out in
the open, in front of another culture, being
confronted by the heat, the dust, and
technical problems! Then to be able to
captivate your audience and behave as if you
were at the
'Olympia',
'chez Maxim's'
or at
'Carnegie
Hall'! An
artist showing his
respect towards his viewers without making any
difference where he performs, is not only a
unique professional - but in my eyes, a most
generous man with a noble heart - in one word
Gérard Chambre!

Menguy the creator of this beautiful video clip,
a rare document of Gérard Chambre's stay at
Ranohira. Yann was one of the wonderful

still exist angels on earth and not just
